Happy National Hamburger Day

Happy National Hamburger Day! On average, Americans eat three hamburgers per week, which is nearly fifty billion hamburgers per year. With so many hamburgers being eaten each year, it’s no wonder why we see various toppings at restaurants! You don’t have to go to a restaurant to enjoy a unique burger, though. Making them at home is easy as 1-2-3. Follow our steps on how to cook a beef patty, and check out our topping suggestions below!

Cooking a Beef Patty

  1. Depending on how many you’re cooking, each patty should be about .3 lbs. Once you have your beef, roll them into balls. Then, flatten them to be about 3/4 inch thick.
  2. One one side, season the patty generously with salt and pepper. If you want more of a kick, try cayenne pepper!
  3. Add to grill, and flip every 4-5 minutes. Cook to your liking! (TIP: Cook the center to 155° for medium)
