The Christmas Tree Guide

Floral & Garden

We love the holidays, especially when our stores turn into seasonal wonderlands! Right now our storefronts are brimming with fresh Christmas trees ready to be adorned and surrounded with holiday cheer.

Our trees are delivered by local tree growers who work hard to bring you beautiful, quality trees each holiday season. We’re proud to partner with Alpine Meadows in Deming, Washington, Holiday Specialtrees in Woodburn, Oregon and Serres Greenhouses in Oregon City, Oregon for our traditional cut trees. Whether you like them piney or pointy, bushy or firm, we have your perfect centerpiece for holiday gathering.

Douglas Fir

BUSHY + PINEY
Despite the name, it’s not actually a fir but in fact an Evergreen. The bushy Douglas is native to the Northwest and loved for it’s distinct pine scent, essential for holiday cheer.

Noble Fir

POINTY + FRAGRANT
This Cascadian native, known for its evenly spaced, blue-green pointy needles and its distinctive fir scent, is the traditional northwest Christmas variety.

Sheared Grand Fir

THICK + AROMIC
The Grand Fir has beautiful, thick foliage and known for having the strongest fragrance of all the Christmas trees. After sheering, it has a cone shape with long, flat needs and a deep green color.

Fraser Fir

TENACIOUS + BLUNT
The slight upward turning branches are perfect for holding hefty ornaments and flat, soft needles lessens the poke factor while decorating. With strong needle retention, it’s the most chosen variety for the White House Christmas tree.

Nordmann Fir

SHINY + RESILIENT
With waxy cuticles, this symmetrical tree has a glossy shine. It’s needles are dull so you won’t get pocked while decorating and with minimal shedding and fragrance, this is an excellent tree for anyone with allergies.

We also carry an assortment of live Christmas trees that can be planted and enjoyed after the holidays. Our live varieties from DeWilde’s Nursery in Bellingham, WA include Fraser Fir, Black Hills Spruce, Colorado Blue Spruce, Austrian Pine, Norway Spruce, Serbian Spruce and Douglas Fir.
